Here’s what I can tell you about Mike….
You may or may not know Michael Lidke, he is our Operations Manager at I.T. Solutions of South Florida and he is AWESOME. For those of you who don’t know what Mike does, I’ll break it down. He’s the behind the scenes guy who runs all the scripts and patches, automates processes, synchronizes, tweaks, and all that brain bending computer stuff that most of us don’t even know is happening.
That being said, his job is vital to our organization and if we manage your I.T. network then he is crucial to yours! Like any true computer “geek,” Mike has compiled a list of must have software that will literally change your life. So, for all of you that are like me and don’t want to spend hours researching and reading about software but would still like to use good technological solutions, Mike has offered to share his with all of us!
Mike’s List of Must Have Software
Ditto – clipboard manager. It you are constantly cutting and pasting all day this software is for you. It allows you to copy multiple things at once, save clips, and then simply press control and ~ and a list of everything you ever copied to come up! Greenshot – Are the same people always asking you to show them where you saved information or how to do something. Next time take a screenshot and edit it with Greenshot, you can send them a picture with directions and they will never have to ask again! http://getgreenshot.org/

AquaSnap – Do you love to see all your work in one screen? Now you can be more productive with the best tiling windows manager for Windows. https://www.nurgo-software.com/products/aquasnap
Simple Sticky Notes – Do you love sticky notes? Now you don’t have to waste paper or money. http://www.simplestickynotes.com/

Capture2text – This is a super cool program that enables you to grab a screen shot of a picture and it will convert it to text. The resulting text will be saved to the clipboard by default. http://capture2text.sourceforge.net/
Pushbullet – Talk about making your life easier! Pushbullet connects all your devices, making them seem like one. Send text messages from your computer, see your phone’s notifications, send links, chat with friends, now you can do it all from any device. https://www.pushbullet.com/
Do It Again – Alright, this one is a little more “techie”, but it if used correctly it can save you a ton of time doing necessary but tedious computer maintenance. This is an automation software that allows you to make your computer automatically perform a task (i.e. backup files, clean temp files, etc.) for you whenever you want! https://do-it-again.soft32.com/
